Despite hearing the boss's warning, the avaricious druglord won't give up willingly. And, there are traitors under the boss's nose. A conflict is brewing between them...

What does the Mob consist of?

  • Role Card
    • Boss Card: As the boss of the gang, you need to take down the druglord.
    • Druglord Card: As a druglord, you have to kill the boss to earn more money.
    • Soldato Card: You obey the boss and work for him, but mayber you are tired of this kind of life.
    • Traitor Card: You appear to be loyal to the boss, but you secretly reach some conditions with druglord.

How to play?

  1. Choose everyone's role:
    1. Select the corresponding role cards according to the number of players;
    2. The player with the highest points gets the Boss Card (if there is a tie, it will be decided by drawing lots) ;
    3. The player with the second highest points gets the Druglord Card (if there is a tie, it will be decided by drawing lots) ;
    4. Druglord will assign other role cards to others and know who gets the Traitor Card;
    5. The Heelers put cards face down on the table and the Heads put cards face up.
  2. Initial resource allocation: if there are N players, the boss gets N-2 Blue Cash Card while the druglord gets N-2 Red Cash Card. Besides, the boss and druglord each get 10 Gray Cash Card.
  3. Round begin (five rounds in total) :
    1. Asset increase phase: the boss gets additional 2 Blue Cash Card and druglord gets additional 2 Red Cash Card;
    2. Bonus time: the boss can give the heelers 0~4 of the blue or gery cash cards in his hand;
    3. Bribery: druglord can give the heelers 0~4 of the red or gray cash cards in his hand;
    4. Exchange cash: 
      1. Soldato can give 0~2 red cash cards to the boss in exchange for the same number of blue cards;
      2. Soldato and traitor can give 0~2 blue cards to druglord in exchange for the same number of red cards. (In one round, soldato can only choose one party to exchange)
    5. Recruiting phase: Heelers will go out to recruit more men for one side. 
      1. Soldato and traitor can put 0~2 cash cards in their hand (any color) face down on the table; (everyone can see how many cards each players took out)
      2. Shuffle all the cash cards and put them in the recruiting pool face up;
      3. After seeing the cards given in this round, each heelers can tell or fabricate the cash cards given by himself.
  4. Battle Start:
    1. Count all cash cards in the recruiting pool;
    2. Each blue cash card represents one man on the boss's side;
    3. Each red cash card represents one man on druglord's side;
    4. Each heeler shows all the cash cards in their hand:
      1. If there is no red cash card in hand, the player will be regarded as one man on the boss's side;
      2. As long as there is one red cash card in hand, the player will be regarded as one man on druglord's side;
    5. The stronger side wins.
  5. Scoring session:
    1. Consider each red or blue cash card in hand as one point and count your points;
    2. The points of the losers will be divided equally among the winners. If it is not divisible, the remainder will be distributed to the head;
    3. For winners, add your points to your total;

Gameplay

  • The Boss: Although you have the most initial assets, you can't recruit people and fight by yourself. It's essential to know who to trust and allocate your resources. Use gray cash card smartly to confuse the druglord about your asset investment.
  • The Druglord: You don't have many men at first, so you'll be at a disadvantage when recruiting. But you and the traitor know each other, you can also bride other heelers too. Make good use of gray cash cards to make the boss suspicious of his heelers.
  • The Soldato: Winning is quite simple if you have no intention of betrayal at all. But is that really in your own best interest? You probably are the biggest variable in the whole game. Interests and loyalty, which is more important to you?
  • The Traitor: You are the ultimate egoist. But in order to win, you still need to recruit men with your cash cards. Sometimes, you may be able to confuse the boss by giving blue or grey cash cards. If the boss wins, you will be found to be a traitor, and the ending can be imagined, so think carefully.
These are just the creator's own experience, maybe you will create a higher-level gameplay. Choose carefully and climb higher in this world!
